Cops: Thief Stole Tires, Rims from Car in Stony Brook

Incident took place sometime on June 26 or June 27.

A resident of Robin Court in Stony Brook reported June 27 that he woke up to find someone had stolen the tires and rims from his car, according to a police report.

Police said the vehicle, a 2010 Infiniti G37, was propped up on blocks when they arrived. The incident happened between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The incident is being investigated as an incident of fourth-degree grand larceny. Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS; all calls will be kept confidential.

Seriously? We are asked to send in enough supplies per kid each year to supply 5 kids. Where does it…Read More all go? It gets lost, thrown out, or ends up back in the students home via backpack. The problem is not the lack of supplies, but a lack of personal responsibility. But if we send in enough supplies each year for ten or fifteen students, then we might be able to avoid the underlying problem.
