Cops: Thief Stole Generator from Setauket Business

Incident is being investigated as a case of grand larceny.

Sixth Squad detectives are investigating an incident of grand larceny in which a generator was stolen from a business located on Gnarled Hollow Road in Setauket.

According to a police report, the generator was taken from the bed of a flatbed truck parked in the yard at Pole Tech sometime between 5 p.m. on Aug. 27 and 7 a.m. on Aug. 28.

Pole Tech could not be reached for comment. The investigation is ongoing. The incident was classified as fourth-degree grand larceny.
