Cops: Car Windows Shattered on Christian Avenue

Incidents took place on back-to-back nights.

Windows of two cars were shattered on back-to-back nights last week on Christian Avenue, according to police.

A Christian Avenue homeowner in Setauket reported Feb. 24 at 11:55 p.m. that the rear window of a 2004 Honda Civic was shot out, possibly with a pellet gun, according to a police report.

Police also said a Christian Avenue homeowner in Stony Brook reported Feb. 25 at 8:30 p.m. that the rear window of a 2003 Honda Element was shot out, possibly with a BB gun.

Both incidents were classified as fourth-degree criminal mischief, a misdemeanor. Police could not confirm whether the two incidents were related.
