Car, SUV Collide on Route 25A; Minor Injuries Suffered
Incident happened at around 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.
One person suffered minor injuries after a collision on Route 25A a short distance east of Nicolls Road in Setauket on Thursday afternoon.
Police said the accident occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. when a Lexus SUV heading east on Route 25A was struck by a Hyundai sedan that was pulling out of a parking lot. The driver of the Hyundai told police that his view of oncoming traffic was blocked by a truck parked in the shoulder of the road; the truck was gone upon police arrival.
The driver of the SUV was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with minor injuries.
