Afternoon Crash Snarls Traffic on Route 347

Accident involved an overturned car.

UPDATE: 5:15 p.m. – Police have said there did not appear to be any serious injuries in this afternoon's accident on Route 347.

ORIGINAL STORY: An accident involving an overturned car in Stony Brook on Tuesday afternoon closed two lanes of traffic and caused heavy westbound delays on Route 347.

As of 2:55 p.m., police were unable to confirm whether anyone was seriously injured in the accident. It was unclear what caused the accident.

Seriously? We are asked to send in enough supplies per kid each year to supply 5 kids. Where does it…Read More all go? It gets lost, thrown out, or ends up back in the students home via backpack. The problem is not the lack of supplies, but a lack of personal responsibility. But if we send in enough supplies each year for ten or fifteen students, then we might be able to avoid the underlying problem.
