Who is the Unofficial Mayor of Three Village?

Tell us who you think makes the Three Village community tick.

Three Village has two official village mayors in Old Field and Poquott, a Town of Brookhaven councilman, a Suffolk County legislator, a state assemblyman, a civic association president, historical society leaders, and other prominent residents who make up the fabric of this town.

But who is the unofficial mayor of this community? The person behind the scenes or at the front of the crowd, whose name everyone knows.

We're taking nominations this week and will collect the nominations into a poll. Log in to Patch and add your answer as a comment below.

Joe McGuiness from Stony Brook has always been the Mayor of the Three Villages.

Something is up with the Lesko and the Town's response. I live in Poquott and have Verizon Fios. Last time I checked Poquott was in the Town of Brookhaven. In fact I pay an extra fee in my phone bill to Brookhaven for "the pleasure of having Fios".

I would hope that any of the local mayors are paying attention to Agenda 21 disguised as sustainable development. If you are not aware just google it.

I nominate Alice DAmico , for over forty years Alice had been at the forefront of every positive initative in the three village area, from past president of The Setauket Neighborhood House to leading a group of dedicated ladies supporting SBU's women's basketball team, league of women voters, save the pond, 3v land conservatory and many , many more causes all voluntary she has boundless energy that puts people half her age to shame. Do the research and I am sure all will agree

If you have kids in 3V area, you'll agree that Patti Simpson is the unofficial mayor!
