Which Frozen Dessert Spot is Your Favorite?

Whether it's Italian ices, frozen yogurt, gelato or ice cream, tell us which place you like the most.

The frozen dessert trend is a hot one in and around the Three Village area.

Ralph's Italian Ices in Stony Brook and Bella Dolce in Setauket have been around the longest, along with the Brook House in Stony Brook, which serves ice cream in addition to its regular menu. Then came Red Mango locations in Stony Brook and Port Jefferson. Around the time Red Mango arrived, Yogo Delish in Port Jefferson opened its doors. Much more recently, the doors opened at Cool Monkey and Sweet Frog, both in Stony Brook, within a week of each other.

Have you had a chance to try any of these frozen treat offerings? Which one do you like the most, and why is it your go-to place? Log in to Patch and tell us in the comments below.

Cool Monkey is great! There are so many options - ice cream, sorbet, and yogurt - and delicious toppings :)

Cool Monkey was great! I LOVED the coffee frozen yogurt! My son loved the ice cream, so it made everyone happy! The toppings choices were great!

No contest, Bella Dolce is the best gelato place around!!! They also have frozen yogurt, ice cream, shakes, coffee, Greek desserts and more...visit them in Setauket near Via pizza.

Had Sweet Frog recently and was shocked how delicious it was. Admittedly, I am a Haagan Dazs guy, and never thought I would like a yogurt product. I was wrong! I'll be back!

Ralph's! The workers are awesome and so so nice! They're on top of their game and are so fast at serving customers!

By far I would say Cool Monkey is the best. f anyone hasn't been there yet you definitely need to go. They were probably the friendliest staff out of anywhere I have really been in the area and I am not just talking about frozen dessert stores. There yogurt is also great and doesn't taste bad like some of the other places I have tried. I would give this place an A+ and its great to have right after watching a movie too.

I have to agree with some of the people above. "Cool Monkey" has my vote... For a shop that just opened up it is really beating out the other competition. They are really nice in there and the selection is really good too.
