As Thanksgiving approaches next week, it's a good time to take notice of the kind things we do for one another. With Superstorm Sandy having just occurred a few weeks ago, we were thinking about all the ways that neighbors have been helping neighbors, both near and far.
For instance, Brian McIsaac, owner of Setauket Quality Meats, allowed another local business owner to use his refrigerator so that business wouldn't lose all of its food products. A kind act can go a long way, too.
Do you have a story to share about something kind someone did for you? For your family member? For your friend? You don't necessarily have to use names — though we encourage you to recognize that special person. They deserve it, right? Share your stories in the comments below.
