In previous trips to Pita House in East Setauket, Patch tried out the chicken kebab and the falafel platter for lunch, so we figured dinner was in order.
The Dish: House Special "Kavurma" ($23)
What's Inside: Savory lamb pieces cooked in a wok, served with grilled tomatoes and green peppers – enough for two – accompanied by warm pita bread, yogurt sauce, a cup of soup and rice.
Eat This Because: It's a simple lamb dish that can't go wrong. Try this: spread some yogurt sauce on a slice of pita and roll it into a wrap around some pieces of lamb. You'll thank us later.
Side Dish: The side cup of soup is not to be underestimated, in particular both the chicken lemon soup and the red lentil soup.
