Supplies for Furry Friends

Nassakeag Elementary School third-graders have been coordinating a holiday collection drive for the animals at Brookhaven Animal Shelter. The monthlong initiative has raised hundreds of items for the less fortunate animals, as students, their families and staff members donated food items, new toys and gently used blankets to the worthy cause. The students helped to publicize their grade-level initiative by fashioning creative posters to display around the school.
