Question of the Day: What Local Charitable Causes do You Support?

There are many worthwhile local places to donate your time or money.

From the to to , this community has a number of places to go when you want to give time or money to a worthwhile cause.

Nearby organizations like Save-a-Pet, and community based groups like the Rotary and Kiwanis clubs, are also local ways to give to people and pets in need. But those are just a few examples.

When it comes to supporting local charitable causes with your time or donations, which ones do you support? Log in to Patch and tell us in the comments below.

The first time I spoke with someone who was thinking about suicide I silently cried. His pain was palpable. He told a story of love and regret, and spoke so eloquently it was easy to be completely in the moment with him. At the end of the call he said it had helped to talk. He thanked me for being there for him....and at that moment I understood the gift of listening. Join us and see for yourself how challenging and rewarding an experience it can be!
