WATCH: Tribute to Fallen Fire Fighter

A family friend made this YouTube tribute video for Joey DiBernardo.

Joe Saitta, a family friend of created this online tribute that contains footage from his final ceremonies, attended by about 10,000 fire fighters and friends from all over the country. DiBernardo, a longtime Stony Brook resident who was one of the six FDNY firefighters trapped in the fatal "Black Sunday" fire in 2005, died Nov. 22 at his home in Miller Place.

What a beautiful tribute to someone whom I never knew,but only his name and his mother for being an Avon lady. His life touched so many people. I wsh I knew him. God Bless his soul and prayers to his the family, of a true hero! God Bless.

Yes TC change is difficult but it has to start somewhere. What motivation does the BOE have toRead More change when we keep passing the budgets? Budgets have to fail, programs have to be cut before there will be any union negotiations. Many have to lose their jobs before they will allow their pay to be cut. Sounds harsh but it's reality. Our children will survive cuts, be educated and successful - even with less programs.
