Stony Brook Man Takes Home $100K in World Series of Poker Event
Jason Somerville advanced through the ranks to finish at No. 69 in the No-Limit Hold'em Main Event.
Jason Somerville of Stony Brook has finished the World Series of Poker's No-Limit Hold'em Main Event as the No. 66 player in the game – out of more than 6,500 players – and took home $106,056, according to WSOP.com.
Earlier this summer, Somerville, 25, finished third in a WSOP tournament, taking home $400,000 even.
Last year he tournament, a $1,000 buy-in tournament, to take home $493,091. His winnings have amounted to over $2.4 million since he began playing on the circuit in 2007.

According to CardPlayer TV, Somerville has coached poker players in recent years.
