Last Chance: A Night Out for Moms at the Mall

Smith Haven Mall to host "Mom's Nite Out" on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This one's for all the mothers out there.

As part of a Mother's Day celebration, Smith Haven Mall will host its second annual "Mom's Nite Out" event at its center court on Thursday night from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Makeover sessions will be available from Body Shop, Bare Escentuals, MAC Cosmetics and Sephora, along with food samples from Bobby's Burgers, Godiva, California Pizza Kitchen and others. Enter to win raffle prizes from retailers in the mall.

So, essentially that first residential home is being written off as the price of doing business.…Read More There goes that property value. Other than as a professional residence, who would want to live by a driveway for that traffic? As for the entrance Village Automotive, that will bring even more traffic to an already busy intersection nearby. 25A is impassable/impossible in that area for large chunks of the day now.

Seriously? We are asked to send in enough supplies per kid each year to supply 5 kids. Where does it…Read More all go? It gets lost, thrown out, or ends up back in the students home via backpack. The problem is not the lack of supplies, but a lack of personal responsibility. But if we send in enough supplies each year for ten or fifteen students, then we might be able to avoid the underlying problem.

It is beyond reasonable to have salaries at that level and multiple administrators and assistants and directors and assistant directors and chairman etc. Teachers earn their fair share!
