Father's Day Gift Guide: 5 Local Ideas For Dad

With Father's Day around the corner, Patch surveyed local businesses to find a few ideas for great gift ideas.

1. At Hamlet Wines and Liquors, owner Bob Hebert says there's nothing like giving your dad "a little peace and quiet" for Father's Day. But if that's not an option, single malt scotches like Macallan -- aged 10 to 18 years, which will run you $50 to $200 -- might be a good idea.

2. At Setauket Smoke Shop, your father the cigar lover will be happy to know you can buy five loose cigars and get the sixth free.

3. The newest addition at the Stony Brook Village Center is Jos. A. Bank men's clothing store, which is having a buy-one-get-one-free sale through Sunday.

4. Consider a gift certificate for an old fashioned hot towel shave. Places like The Men's Room and Rockabilly Barbers are just two options in town.

5. Win your father's favor with dinner at one of the nice restaurants in town, but call ahead for reservations just in case.
