PHOTOS: Candlelight Vigil Honors Victims of Intolerance

Interfaith vigil was held Tuesday night at Stony Brook University.

Following the Sikh Temple shootings in Wisconsin and the burning of a Muslim mosque in Missouri, students and religious leaders held a vigil Tuesday night at Stony Brook University to take a stand against intolerance. The vigil, attended by students and leaders from the Sikh Students Association, Muslim Students Association, Hindu Student Council, Hillel Foundation for Jewish Life and the Interfaith Center at Stony Brook University, aimed to "bring the campus and external communities together to reaffirm the collective commitment to diversity and unity," according to the university.
