At nine Getty locations in Suffolk County, including the one in Stony Brook on Route 25A, the organization Paradise Christian Fellowship is seeking donations of food or money to support its mission of feeding homeless men and women. The Mastic Beach-based Fellowship, run by Pastor Dan Emmanuel, is also in need of volunteers and a refrigerated truck to help them along the way. This week, Emmanuel will also be collecting donations at the Getty station on Route 25A in Miller Place and at the one on Main Street in Smithtown. "People have to come together now because it's tough times," Emmanuel said.
