Nine Seniors Sign Letters of Intent

Seven will play lacrosse and two will swim at the collegiate level.

Nine Ward Melville high school seniors have signed letters of intent to continue their athletic careers; two at military academies and seven at college.

“These students have put a tremendous amount of time and energy into not only their athletics but also their academics,” said Erin Blaney, executive director for health, physical education, recreation and athletics.

 “The balance they have struck between the two commitments is an incredible task and one to commend. I congratulate each of these students on their past and future successes and thank their families and coaches for all of their support and effort that they have given to these athletes.”
