Last Chance: Catch Dee Snider at a Book Signing

Rocker Dee Snider will discuss and sign copies of his new memoir, Shut Up and Give Me the Mic, at the in Huntington Village on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Snider, who lives in East Setauket, is the frontman of the band Twisted Sister, famous for songs like “We’re Not Gonna Take It” and “I Wanna Rock.” In his memoir, he shares the stories behind the music.

"I’m the guy that gave it all to beat the odds, left everything he had on the stage each night, didn’t screw around on his woman, took care of his kids, and was sober enough to remember it all and write about it ... myself," he writes.
