Caring Custodian in Running for Nation's Top Janitor

Larry Aupperlee, a custodian at Minnesauke for 17 years is one of ten janitors nominated nationwide in top janitor contest.

For 17 years custodian Larry Aupperlee has been the go to guy for the staff and students at Minnesauke Elementary school from changing flat tires to setting up the stage to cleaning off snow from cars and because of those efforts, he has been nominated as Janitor of the Year in a national contest.

“I’ve know Larry for three years,” said Minnesauke principal Brian Biscari. “He cares about this place like it’s his second home.”

Biscari is not the only person who thinks Aupperlee is tops. The president and vice president of the Parent Teacher Association nominated him for the honor.
