Three Village Community Trust - event

"Stony Brook Harbor: Past, Present and Future," an illustrated talk by Larry Swanson, will be the highlight at the Three Village Community Trust's sixth annual fundraiser.  Swanson, associate dean of the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences at Stony Brook University, will share his knowledge of the harbor — the deleterious impacts upon its waters and organisms — and explain how protect it for future generations.

The event will include wine, hors d'oeuvres and desserts. Members of the Trust also will give a brief report on the acquisition of Patriot's Rock and the relocation of the Rubber Factory Worker Houses, both in Setauket. There will be prizes, and a framed limited edition giclee print by Irene Ruddock "Three Rowboats, Stony Brook Harbor," will be raffled off. The cost to attend is $30 per person or $50 for two.
