33rd Annual Candlelight House Tour: Around the Bay

Please join the Three Village Historical Society for our 33rd Annual Candlelight House Tour, showcasing select local homes dressed in holiday finery by a team of talented local decorators. Each home will be staffed by our docents who will point out its stunning architectural features and furnishings along with the home's historic details. Homes were selected to represent elements of Setauket’s rich Maritime history.
 
Tour options:
Friday, December 2nd, Evening Tour with Reception: 6-9pm, House Tour. 9-11pm, Reception at the Long Island Museum: Art, History, Carriages with hors d'oeuvres, wine, and dessert. $75/TVHS Member, $100 Non-member.
Saturday, December 3rd, Tour with Breakfast: 8:30-10am Breakfast at Stony Brook Yacht Club. 10am - 5pm, House Tour.  $50/TVHS Member, $60 Non-member.
Saturday, December 3rd, Tour Only: 11am - 5pm, House Tour.  $35/TVHS Member, $40 Non-member.

So, essentially that first residential home is being written off as the price of doing business.…Read More There goes that property value. Other than as a professional residence, who would want to live by a driveway for that traffic? As for the entrance Village Automotive, that will bring even more traffic to an already busy intersection nearby. 25A is impassable/impossible in that area for large chunks of the day now.

Seriously? We are asked to send in enough supplies per kid each year to supply 5 kids. Where does it…Read More all go? It gets lost, thrown out, or ends up back in the students home via backpack. The problem is not the lack of supplies, but a lack of personal responsibility. But if we send in enough supplies each year for ten or fifteen students, then we might be able to avoid the underlying problem.

It is beyond reasonable to have salaries at that level and multiple administrators and assistants and directors and assistant directors and chairman etc. Teachers earn their fair share!
