March Madness: Are You Ready for this Season?

In the world of Basketball March Madness is finally here.  In the world of Real Estate you need to avoid March Mayhem!

As an experienced Full Time Real Estate Broker here in Setauket, I always associate everything to the market trends in “Real Estate”!

Recently, an Allstate Commercial had the theme; ”March Mayhem” and it shows us just how Mayhem can change the outcome we are ultimately shooting for in life.

Mayhem!   Chaos!   Confusion!
Disorder!   Disruption!   Pandemonium!

I am certain many of you know someone who has recently bought or sold a house and they might say any of these words sounds like their experience?  Yes of course!  We all hate disruption in our lives.  We all like things to go smoothly.

Now, I am not saying that selling or buying a house is Mayhem. However, it is very important to have the right planning and guidance in order for your experience to be a pleasant one!

The Engineer is scheduled and he discovers things out about
the house and the owner is “shocked.”

“No Problems here!”

If you are planning on selling your home, you may consider a
pre-inspection, to avoid these “surprises” and if you are buying a home, I
advise to conduct a home inspection to find these “surprises.”

As I always say, working with a Professional Real Estate Agent, hiring the “right” Realtor, someone who knows the market, that utilizes an aggressive marketing plan, and above all communicates well, will lead you to a better experience in selling or buying your home.
