Last year, Israeli pianist and Stony Brook University graduate student Guy Slapak began commemorating his mother's memorial (yahrzeit) with a concert to benefit breast cancer research. This year's concert will take place Tuesday, Nov 5 at 7:30 pm at Temple Isaiah in Stony Brook. The program includes piano solo, vocal music (with Israeli songs) with soprano Lianne Aharony, and the Brahms Piano Quintet in F minor featuring violinist Hagai Shaham, Professsor of Music at Stony Brook.
