Hand-colored Photography for Beginners

In this afternoon workshop, instructor Marlene Weinstein will teach you how to hand color your black and white digital photographs using PanPastels.  PanPastels are low-dust, highly pigmented artists’ pastels in a cake format and are perfect for coloring photos.

The workshop will start with a discussion of how to prepare and print your photographs, paper selection, and tools.  This will be followed by a technique demonstration and then we will move on to a hand-coloring project.  Learn how to hand-color landscapes, portraits, and just about any black and white photograph.

Student will leave the workshop with one or two finished pieces, along with the techniques needed for continuing with their own projects at home.  All students will go home with 1 Sofft knife tool, 2 Sofft knife covers, 1 round sponge,  and 2 mini applicators.
