Dr. G. Timothy Johnson will speak about "The Truth About Getting Sick in America", with a signing of his book, at the Simon Center at Stony Brook University.


Dr. Johnson was Chief Medical Editor for ABC News for 25 years, and provided commentary on medical problems and answers for ABC's "World News", "Good Morning America", "Nightline", and "20/20".


The East End Special Players will follow with a special performance of four 5-minute skits to a backdrop of paintings by LI artist Gabrielle Raacke.


This is the first in a series of speakers adressing issues related to the L'Arche movement. L'Arche is deadicated to bridging the gap between people with developmental disabilities and the local community.

Yes TC change is difficult but it has to start somewhere. What motivation does the BOE have toRead More change when we keep passing the budgets? Budgets have to fail, programs have to be cut before there will be any union negotiations. Many have to lose their jobs before they will allow their pay to be cut. Sounds harsh but it's reality. Our children will survive cuts, be educated and successful - even with less programs.
