“Teach Your Children Well” Community Interfaith Thanksgiving Service

On Tuesday, November 20 at 7:00 PM, the Three Village Clergy Association will offer its annual Community Interfaith Thanksgiving Service. The congregation of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at Stony Brook (UUFSB) will host the service, which has a theme of "Teach Your Children Well." Youth and adults of different faiths will speak about how our children learn to live out their religion’s values day to day.  The service will feature music performed by UUFSB musicians.  The Fellowship’s Unicorn Singers will host a combined interfaith choir conducted by Janet Hanson and Dan Weymouth.

During the service, an offering will be collected to benefit the Long Island Multifaith Forum’s efforts to educate youth about religious diversity.

Following the service there will be a reception at which children and youth will be especially welcome.  The Three Village Clergy Association hopes locals will bring their Thanksgiving visitors, and join together to celebrate the gifts of our religious diversity and the young people who are practicing the art of faithful living in a multifaith world.
