BENCH 5K for Play Fit-Stay Fit! Fun Run Event

The 1K Fun Run event
begins on the Stony Brook University campus opposite the LIRR station near the
Stony Brook University track.  The fun
run takes place on the paths surrounding the athletic fields which are free
from automobile traffic. The BENCH 5K event follows at 9:30 AM.  



 All proceeds from the
BENCH 5K go to support Play Fit-Stay Fit!, a comprehensive wellness program for child survivors of
cancer and their families that provides fitness, psychosocial, and nutritional
support for the entire family. These proceeds are used to support local Play Fit-Stay Fit! programs, fund local pediatric cancer research, and create
new programs on the local and national level.
