Avoiding Omega Three Pitfalls

Here are some Omega Three tips for the whole family.

Not all omega-3 (e.g., EPA, DHA) formulas offer the same health support or qualityor meet label claims for active ingredients. And there are often health and safety reasons behind a healthcare professional's recommendations for a specific fish oil supplement, such as OmegaGenics formulas from Metagenics. Discover some important revelations below.

Concern: Contamination. Some fish oil products may contain excessive levels of harmful toxins, such as heavy metals and polychlorinated biphenols (PCBs). They may also contain potentially harmful bacteria (e.g., salmonella), yeast, and mold.

OmegaGenics Advantage: Purity Guaranteed. OmegaGenics fish oil formulas are produced in Norwegian pharmaceutical-licensed facilities and third-party tested for over 250 contaminants. Plus additional in-house tests for common bacteria, yeast, and mold, as well as testing for shelf stability.

Concern: Rancidity. Fish oil is unstable and can quickly become spoiled and oxidized. Some companies may not test adequately for rancidity in production or take extra steps to protect the product during storage, transport, and normal use.

OmegaGenics Advantage: Antioxidant Stabilized. OmegaGenics fish oil formulas are third-party tested for rancidity and fortified with natural antioxidants to maintain freshness.

Concern: Low Potency. Some products may not actually contain the amount of omega-3s listed on labelscompromising expected benefits and value.

OmegaGenics Advantage: Concentrated Omega-3s. OmegaGenics formulas are tested in-house and by a leading third-party facility to ensure omega-3 content meets or exceeds label claimfor reliable dosing and dependable value.

Concern: Fishy Aftertaste. Omega-3s from fish oil dont have to taste (or smell) like fish to work well.

OmegaGenics Advantage: No "Fishy" Taste! OmegaGenics formulas begin with cleaner oils for a cleaner tasteand natural fruit flavors and enteric-coated options make them taste even better.

Concern: Unspecified Applications. EPA and DHA offer different health benefits when used separately or in combination. Some fish oil products may offer a one-size-fits-all approach, making it difficult to determine ideal use.*

OmegaGenics Advantage: Targeted Formulas. OmegaGenics offers a comprehensive line of 11 omega-3 formulas, including EPA-DHA blends, a concentrated EPA formula, and concentrated DHA formulas. In addition to different dosages, the OmegaGenics line also offers a variety of delivery forms, including liquids, softgels, and chewable gels.

So this is what, free advertising? Can I also do this for the Suffolk Music Center, 208 Medford Ave., Patchogue where Professionals and Students alike can come for all their lessons, rentals, sales and repair needs? At 664-8430? Just asking

Gerald, I believe if you write an article that has some community value, or stimulates interest among a group of readers, then yes, the blog can become a form of free advertising.... write away, submit, see what they say... www.vibranthealthcompany.net

Thanks Eric! I actually didnt know some of the things you posted. My daughter has bad excema. It is aggravated by her allergies to mold/dust mites/ and cobalt which everyone knows is a metal! I didnt know that the Omega three pills she has been taking for about a year now may have mold or metal in them. Maybe the reason she cannot seem to control her excema for the past YEAR! A coincidence???? maybe, but im going to stop her from taking it and see what happens....she was originally taking it because another medical professional said it may help her skin. but I think it really may be doing the opposite. Thank you!

All too often consumers embrace a trend without knowing all of the facts. It's nice to get both sides of the story so that we can make an informed, educated decision about what we put into our bodies. Thank you and CHEERS!
