Stony Brook secures eighth Homecoming victory 21-13 against Bryant

Stony Brook Seawolves beat Bryant University Bulldogs 21-13 in StonyBrook's eight straight homecoming victory.

  The Seawolves came out with a bang and scored a touchdown in their first possession by Freshman RB Tyler Fredericks, who also recorded the first touchdown of his college career. Victor Ochi, a defensive lineman from Stony Brook was then able to force a fumble which was recovered by Stony Brook's Defensive Back Max Martinez. Bryant then scored on their next possession making the score 7-7. The Seawolves then responded to that touchdown with one of their own; QB Lyle Negron completed a 63 yard pass to WR Adrian Coxson for a touchdown. At the end of the first quarter the score was Bryant, 7, Stony Brook 14.

      The teams were unable to score in the second and third quarters. Bryant opened the fourth quarter with a 13 yard rushing touchdown. Bulldog's kicker, Tom Alberti, missed the extra point, making the score Bryant, 13, and Stony Brook, 14. Stony Brook took 3 minuets and 48 seconds for a touchdown. With this touchdown WR Devante Wheeler recorded his first college touchdown. Along with the help of Kicker Nick Ferrara Stony Brook increased their score to 21.

      The Seawolves will take on familiar rival Colgate next Saturday in their last non-conference game at Hamilton, NY
