Welcome to Three Village Patch

We're your new, online source for daily news and information.

Thanks for visiting Three Village Patch, your community's new, online source for daily news and information. We hope you'll visit us each day for new stories and pictures from around the Three Village area.

Three Village Patch hopes to give you a chance to get involved in the community by signing up for a (free!) Patch user account. By doing so, you'll be able to share your own news such as the birth of a child, a family wedding, a promotion at work, awards and honors – even your upcoming garage sale. You'll also be able to share your own pictures and comment on stories. We also welcome opinion pieces and letters to the editor.

Let's take a tour of the site:

Planning an important shopping excursion? This is where you'll find everything to know about the businesses that are right in your backyard. We'll give you their addresses, phone numbers, hours of operation and even maps to show you how to get there.

Is your organization holding a fundraiser or looking for volunteers? Then let us know about it in our events section. From meetings to charity car washes,  this is where you'll find out what's going on and you can upload your event right to the website. We  also want to know the important things that are going on in your life.  If you're getting married, won an award or honor, place it in our announcement section. You can place an obituary here or graduation news.

This section will give you what you need to know when you need to contact local government. It will tell you how to find various agencies and what their responsibilities are. It also gives background information about your elected representatives.

We want to cover everything that's important to you and our news section is divided into several categories. We'll keep you abreast of what's going on in local government and let you know how county and state news affects Three Village. We'll follow the schools to keep you informed about the decisions that are being made that will impact your child's education. We'll stay in touch with police and fire officials and report on crime or fire in the area.  We'll be on top of the business community with profiles and news that affects the local economy. We'll hear from arts organizations and let you know about performances in the area. And if you're a die-hard fan for local sports teams, we'll let you know the score. We'll get opinions from local leaders or anyone with a good point to make.  And if you have something you want to sound off about, let us know. Finally, we'll shine a spotlight on volunteers in the area.  You'll see profiles of their extraordinary work and we want to hear from you about your efforts to make Three Village even better.

Finally, please don't hesitate to reach out with a news tip or suggestion for how we can improve Three Village Patch. You can call me at 631-276-1679 or e-mail me, Christine Sampson, at christines@patch.com.

CONGRATULATIONS Christine! You did a great job with the site, and I know there's more to come! I'm so happy that there is a Patch in the town I live in, and that we are a part of this amazing resource!

The Comptrollers Audit finds The Research Foundation allowed statewide abuse of the taxpayer dollars, hiring practices and violated the foundations policies.” The Office of the Comptroller issued their finding on 10/22/2012 1) “You understand just how dysfunctional and corrupt the system is… when reporting to Silver’s Office out and out waste and fraud yet to be denied and you are asked “what do you expect—to change the system by yourselves?” and our reply was “No, we expect to report the corruption and you do something about it”—little did we know Mr. Silver might be part of the problem. When speaking to Internal Investigators they ask “are we the Sheriff?” and our reply… who is? And then we are told “perhaps he didn’t mean it—by the Head of Grants and Research” as the S.B.A. and the Controller’s office “wish to recall their investigations due to a computer glitch”—while the DOI who only assigns case, the A.G., has yet to deny a single word or document and still waiting assignment by the D.O.J. The merry go round needs to continue and the taxpayers/students* are their brass ring of their greed where ego’s and power are allowed to go wild”…..#23 as reported to Michael Burzo. The Small Business Development Centers need to answer for their documents, F.O.I.L. and emails received—their “New Day” at CUNY/SUNY (The Research Foundation) is worse than yesterday and will continue to avoid transparency for good reason. 2)
