Weekly Agenda: Civic Association, Board of Education to Meet

A look at the week's upcoming events.

Coming up this week are a number of important or interesting (or important and interesting) items for your consideration. These include:

1. The monthly meeting of the Civic Association of the Setaukets and Stony Brook will take place on Monday night at 7:30 p.m. at Emma S. Clark Memorial Library.

2. On Tuesday, newly installed Brookhaven Town Supervisor Ed Romaine will join the Town Board for his first official meeting at 5 p.m. at Town Hall.

3. The Three Village Board of Education will hear recommendations from the school district administration regarding make-up days for the time students missed during the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. A special Board of Education meeting is set for Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m.

4. At a special adult event at the library on Thursday at 7 p.m., Jeffrey Tongue, Science and Operations Officer at NOAA National Weather Service, will talk about short and long range weather forecasts, as well as the idea of climate change.
