Week in Review: Charges Upgraded in Fatal DWI

The Three Village Board of Education will join a lawsuit being filed collectively by multiple school districts in New York State with the goal of getting the declared unconstitutional. Middletown, Three Village, and other districts will challenge the law because administrators say they believe it makes the minority's votes hold more power than the majority's votes.

Following in May that left an East Setauket woman dead, a Centereach man now faces felony manslaughter charges after a Suffolk judge unsealed a seven-count indictment on Tuesday.

A Stony Brook store is facing a lawsuit from the state attorney general for allegedly selling synthetic designer drugs, according to a report published Tuesday in Newsday. Pavilion International, located on North Country Rd. in Stony Brook, was cited among 16 "head shops."
