Village People: Setauket Woman a Top 50 Women in Business Honoree

Who's who in Three Village.

Dr. Joan Faro of Setauket, who is Chief Medical Officer at Mather Memorial Hospital, has been named to the Long Island Business News Top 50 Women in Business honoree list. Faro was also recently lauded by the Town of Brookhaven with its 2012 Women’s Recognition Award in Medicine.

Lisa Malcomson of East Setauket has been named Director of Rehabilitation Services at Mather Memorial Hospital. Malcomson, who joins Mather from her previous position as Program Director for the Orthopedic/Amputee Program at The Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in White Plains, will oversee a team of more than 30 therapists and support staff.

Richard Sotomayer of Stony Brook, Airman 1st Class for the 106th Rescue Wing of the New York Air National Guard, has completed training for the U.S. Airforce Basic Military Training course in Texas. Colonel Thomas J. Owens II said of his accomplishment: "The various training courses they complete improve not only their skills but they are then able to better our entire wing in the mission of personnel recovery, ultimately saving lives, both here at home and abroad."
