Things to Do in Three Village: #31 – Learn Gymnastics at Silver Stars

Gymnastics has many benefits for kids.

Just like sports and dance class, gymnastics classes are often a rite-of-passage for many kids as they explore their interests when they are very young.

Kids in Three Village are in luck: There's a gymnastics gym right in town – Silver Stars.

According to gym owner Leah Jaskolski, gymnastics has multiple benefits for children. On her website, she writes: "Gymnastics classes concentrate on balance, coordination, flexibility and concentration which provide children with a strong foundation for any type of physical or athletic activity as well as an opportunity to meet with friends and make new friends."

How pricing works at Silver Stars: Girls ages 5 & up – $100 per month for 1.5-hour classes; Boys' classes – $90 per month for 1-hour classes; Classes for children ages 3-4 – $90 per month for 1-hour classes.

Jaskolski will also be launching open play sessions on Tuesdays starting Feb. 5 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. for ages 3 to 5 for $10 per child (must call to register before coming).

"Getting children away from the TV or computer and into the gym is a terrific first step toward a healthy life style," Jaskolski writes.
