Question of the Day: Would You Install Solar Panels at Your Home?

It costs thousands of dollars up front, saves you thousands eventually, but is it reliable enough?

Among its benefits, the installation of solar panels will reduce your ecological footprint and fossil fuel usage, reduce energy costs month-to-month and save you even more money in the long term.

Still, solar panels are pricey to install, and the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) insists your roof should face the south, see sunlight for most or all of the day throughout the year, and you may need to redo your roof just to get it done.

Are you already taking advantage of solar power? Have you thought about it? Dismissed it? Let us know in your comments below.
