ABC television show changed the lives of the Lutz family of East Setauket.
The show "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" came to town last June, moving in for a week on Ringneck Lane to change the lives of one local family almost exactly a year ago to the day.
Siblings Kathleen Lutz and John Lutz – and their six siblings with Down syndrome – were the beneficiaries of the makeover, which yielded a brand new home for a family that had had more than its share of heartbreak. .
