The Mets are closer, the Yankees are better. With interleague baseball starting tonight, to whom are you devoted?
If you're a Yankees fan, you have popped a champagne bottle or two in your lifetime. The Bombers have won 27 World Series in franchise history, most recently reaching the peak of MLB in 2009. However, while yours is the winningest team in team sports, you've undoubtedly been taunted about how they "pay for" their success.
It's the 25-year anniversary of the Mets' last championship. Since then, there has been a lot of heartbreak, and with injuries ravaging this year's squad, it's safe to say the Amazins' calendar will be wide open in October. However, they're the underdogs in the Big Apple, and when they eventually do win the World Series again, what a feeling it will be.
