June 24: Life After Prom

There is life after prom – literally. Ward Melville's graduation ceremony happens Sunday, but for now, you can hold onto your prom memories by checking out our photo gallery and entering our contest. Also on the table for Friday: a new college moves nearby, an astronomy lesson, and live music.

1. We can't promise we got a photo of all 650 students who attended Thursday's senior prom at Ward Melville, but look for your own face at 10 a.m. when we publish our prom photo gallery.

2. Now for the fun part: We want your prom photos. We'll award a prize to the person who submits the best photo to christines@patch.com by June 30.

3. We'll take a look at Empire State College, which is moving a stone's throw from Three Village. Check back later for the story.

4. Get an . Avalon Park will offer a talk by David Cohn, director of the Educational Projects Network, at the park's barn at 8 p.m.
