June 1: Career Skills and Spring Sports Awards

Stony Brook University holds three boys lacrosse county title games throughout the day.

1. Ward Melville High School holds its spring athletic awards banquet tonight, honoring those on the diamond, lax pitch, tennis courts and track who excelled.

2. Prospective college students can learn how to best present themselves to admissions by partaking in the . Sign up for the class, which begins July 11. 

3. The Three Village PTA holds a general council meeting this morning at the North Country Administration Center (9:30 a.m.).

4. For the first time since 2004, the Ward Melville boys lacrosse team will not play in the Suffolk County finals at Stony Brook University. However, three Patriot alumni are coaching for county finalists. Sean Keenan '83 guides Smithtown West against West Islip (3 p.m.), Tom Rotanz '77 handles the reins for Shoreham-Wading River against Huntington (5:30 p.m.) and Harold Drumm '94 has Mount Sinai in the final against Bayport-Blue Point (8 p.m.)

5. After Tap & App Tuesdays at Mirabelle, it holds its , on which select bottles and glasses of wine are half price.
