#71 – Go Fish

With as much shoreline as Three Village has, fishing is a popular pastime in Three Village.

Between Old Field Point, Setauket's Mill Pond, Stony Brook Beach, West Meadow Beach and other spots in town, Three Village has a number of places where residents can go fish with good results.

Last year's winner of the Annual WICC Greatest Bluefish Tournament on Earth was a Three Village resident who caught a 15.94-pound fish off of Old Field Point.

If you're fishing at West Meadow Beach, naturalist Eileen Gerle finding a spot to fish away from the folks bathing in the beach's waters.

Fishing in the Mill Pond, however, is limited to the Mill Pond Anglers group. For information on the Mill Pond Anglers, call 631-689-6146.
