Here's how to take advantage of the university in your backyard.

Happening this week at Stony Brook University, whether you appreciate the outdoors, the arts, sports and more, there's a little something for everyone.

1. With the great weather we've been having in this area, it might be time to break out the bikes and try out the at Stony Brook University.

2. The next in the Provost's Lecture Series is Wiliam C. Dudley, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Dudley will speak on the economic outlook for the U.S. and Long Island at 4 p.m. Monday at the Wang Center.

3. For those who want to learn more about weight loss surgery: Meet Dr. Aurora Pryor – the director of the Bariatric and Metabolic Weight Loss Center – via a seminar at 5 p.m. on Monday at Stony Brook University Medical Center.

4. On Friday, The Artist and My Week With Marilyn will be screening at the Staller Center, at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., respectively.
