5 Things to Do This Weekend

Saturday is a big day in Three Village when it comes to local activities and fundraisers.

Three Villagers should have no problem finding things to do this weekend – in fact, you may have a bigger problem narrowing it down because there's so much going on.

1. Starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, head down to the Stony Brook Village Center to check out a free . (Rain date: Oct. 8.)

2. Contribute to a local fundraiser. Attend a free that's also a fundraiser for the Sunrise Fund at Stony Brook Long Island Children’s Hospital. Race a rubber duck at the Kiwanis Club's annual . Or attend the Community Firefighters' Appreciation Picnic to benefit both the Burn Center at Stony Brook University Medical Center and the children's hospital.

3. on Saturday. Ward Melville plays William Floyd at 2 p.m. for the Patriots' Homecoming game, and Stony Brook University plays Lafayette at 6 p.m. in the Seawolves' Homecoming game.

4. Relax with some music under the trees at the (in case of rain, it will be held indoors).
