5 Things to Do this Week

Good morning, Three Village! Here is a list of events and other things to think about as you begin a new week.

1. The Town of Brookhaven will hold a public town board meeting on Tuesday beginning at 5 p.m. at Town Hall in Farmingville.

2. The Three Village Central School District will hold a public school board meeting on Tuesday beginning at 7:30 p.m.

3. The Setauket Fire District administration will hold a budget meeting on Thursday beginning at 7 p.m. at its Hulse Road headquarters.

4. Each year, Ward Melville High School sends lots of elite athletes to college athletic programs. This one's for the NCAA hopefuls out there: on Thursday, Eric Pomuceno from Stony Brook athletics will deliver a presentation about college sports at 290 Main Street, Setauket. Reservations are required; email maryannthetutor@yahoo.com to RSVP. EDITOR'S NOTE: This event has been canceled.

5. School starts Sept. 4 in Three Village, so this is the week to think about stocking up on school supplies and back to school clothes. The stores are bound to be packed this weekend and next week!
