Local Voices bloggers have been busy this year.
This year Patch launched "Local Voices," a blogging platform that gives members of the community a chance to have their own voices heard. Whether it's about health and fitness, society and culture, Three Village Patch bloggers have made it quite a year.
- Faiza Akhtar cracked everyone up with "A Hairy Situation" and "Look Mom! No Hands!"
- Carole Trottere chronicled her fight against bees in "Once Bitten, I'm Gunning for You."
- Our youngest blogger Zachary Baum talked about same-sex marriage in "SSM and 2016."
- Photoblogger Pam Botway explored Stony Brook in "Stepping Off the Beaten Path in Stony Brook Village" and took advantage of the mild December weather to give us "The Forsythia is Blooming in December."
- Mark T. Freeley tackled a national safety issue in "Driving: The Most Dangerous Part of Our Day."
- Geri Ertle contributed a beautiful piece about the concept of a lao tong – meaning "friends for life" – in "The Holidays Are Such a Great Time to Reconnect or Create New Friendships."
- Tony Vitale analyzed Google's acquisition of Motorola Mobile in "Googlerola: Did Larry Page Flinch? Off With His Head!"
- Eric Robert Santiago delivered some great tips in "Managing Stress."
- Fitness blogger Lily Zajc gave us permission to splurge on some holiday treats in "Have a Cookie, Go For a Jog: Stress Free Holiday Eating."
