Yoga Studio Heads To The Beach This Summer

Mindful Turtle Yoga & Wellness will remain open in Stony Brook.

A Stony Brook-based yoga studio is gearing up to open a pop up shop in Montauk.

Mindful Turtle Yoga & Wellness will have a second location at 34 S. Erie Ave., in Montauk this summer season. Classes officially beginning on May 3.

“Mindful Turtle has thrived in the Stony Brook community for the past four years since we opened our first location,” said Danielle Goldstein, the owner. “Montauk is a beautiful place to practice, and weʼre honored to bring yoga to this incredible community with our second location.”

Mindful Turtle first opened four years ago, and Goldstein said she remains committed to the Stony Brook studio during this temporary expansion.

Goldstein said Montauk is the ideal location for a second studio. "I've always loved the laid-back vibe," she said.

Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Hatha, and Mysore practices are on the menu of classes. Creative wordage on the walls helps inspire mindfulness, Goldstein said.

Part of Mindful Turtle's mission is to offer affordable yoga. "We want to serve the local community very much so," she said, adding discounts will be available for year-round Montauk residents.

Single classes at the Montauk studio are $20, and packages are available. A special introductory special for four months of unlimited yoga is $550 for those who sign up by May 24.

“We’re also excited to offer special yoga wedding packages,” Goldstein said. “With Montauk booming as a popular place for nuptials, we’re here to help people feel blissful, centered and ready for their big day.”

Full pricing and class schedule can be found on the studio's website.
