Prime Space Opens Up in Stony Brook Village Center [Empty in Three Village]

What should replace the former Talbots in Stony Brook Village Center?

Talbots was a thriving business in Stony Brook for over 20 years. Then they changed their business strategy to target younger consumers, according to a Ward Melville Heritage Organization spokesperson.

The store's core market didn't follow the new image and the chain closed 100 stores across the country, including the building in Stony Brook Village Center.

The former Talbots building at 97 Main Street in Stony Brook hasn't been vacant for long, and the condition shows. It shares the upscale look with vintage touches (there's a weather vane on the roof) that the Village Center personifies. There's 3,118 square feet of space available to potential leasees.
