Pets Warehouse Opens In East Setauket

Copiague-based Pets Warehouse opened July 1 in East Setauket, the chain's fourth location on Long Island.

The 12,000 square foot store at 5010 Nesconset Highway joins sister locations in Copiague, Carle Place and Selden.

The store does not sell dogs or cats; the only pets they sell are fish, which will be available at the East Setauket location within a couple of weeks.

With Petco locations in Lake Grove, Selden, Commack and Rocky Point, and PetSmart locations in Lake Grove, Port Jefferson Station and Commack, there is no shortage of competition for Pets Warehouse. However, the store's management previously told Patch that its price match policy keeps Pets Warehouse competitive in the market.

The new store replaces Fashion Bug, which closed along with several hundred others in 2012 after its parent company was sold.
