Nisen 347 Opens Near Smith Haven Mall
Two-story restaurant located on Route 347 in St. James opens Thursday night.
Sushi lovers can enjoy two stories of sushi in the Smithtown area on Thursday night with the opening of Nisen 347, located at the intersection of Middle Country Road and Route 347.
Owner Tom Lam said Nisen 347 will open its doors at 5 p.m. on Thursday to serve dinner. Reservations can be made for those eager to dine at the contemporary sushi restaurant, while the bar and lounge are open only to walk-in customers.
The first floor of Nisen 347 will serve as a bar and lounge area, while the second floor serves as the main dining area.
"It will be very contemporary like our Commack location," Lam told Patch in June. "We will also have a private room in the basement for parties."
Nisen 347 takes over a troubled location has seen a few eateries come and go including Intermezzo and Ara International Grille and Bar, which closed in December 2011.
