Former Body Talk Lounge in Centereach to be Demolished Thursday
Former topless club was damaged in a fire earlier this year.
A long vacant building on Middle Country Road in Centereach will be demolished on Thursday, according to Brookhaven Town officials.
Town Supervisor Ed Romaine and Councilwoman Kathleen Walsh will be on hand at 10 a.m. Thursday with local residents and civic leaders at the demolition of the long vacant Body Talk Lounge, located at the northwest corner of Middle Country and Hammond Road.
The building sustained significant damage from a fire earlier this year and town officials say it has become a dangerous eyesore and a target for graffiti and vandalism.
It will be demolished along with another structure on the property to make way for a new retail center that has already been approved by the Town’s Planning Department.
